Seeing as how it's that time of year again, it feels imperative to impart some wisdom upon the student populace;
New Year's resolutions arebullsfoolish at best and self-defeating at worst.
Attaching so much significance to a fairly arbitrary date and vowing to change deep-set personal behaviors is only setting yourself up to fail. Very few people have the willpower required to actually break bad habits or affect a new diet. If they did, they'd be able to do it in July. All New Year's does is set people up thinking that they can change, making it even more of a disappointment when theyfuck upfail.
As such, my New Year's resolution is to punch people in the throat when they ask me what my New Year's resolution is.
